Cellular rubber is a closed-cell elastomer based on natural rubber (NR), EPDM (also called APTK), nitrile rubber (NBR), SBR or chloroprene (CR) / neoprene.
Due to cellular rubber's closed-cell structure, the water absorption is very low and is therefore well suited for sealing and insulating.
Cellular rubber is available in a wide variety of strengths – from very soft to very hard. The material's density is an indicator of its volumetric weight.
Cellular rubber is used in all industries due to its universal properties.
HIRI manufactures cellular rubber seals and dampers for well-known mechanical engineering companies, coats rollers and belts for the printing industry, and uses cellular rubber in the production of vacuum suction plates for the glassworks industry.
A light-coloured, FDA-approved cellular rubber is even used in the food industry.
We can manufacture all products made of cellular rubber customised in accordance with your specifications, including in small series or in one-off production.
