Even if there are those who consider punching products to be an outdated production method, under certain conditions it still offers significant advantages over newer technologies – such as water jet technology:
Products made from foam material, cellular rubber, PE foam or foam rubber with large contours can be punched faster than water jet cutting. That quickly pays off when it comes to larger quantities.
Products that have to remain self-adhesive on tape for the later assembly process can be punched with such accuracy with our permanent precision punching process that the foam is cut through and yet the carrier film remains untouched.
Cellular rubber is a closed-cell elastomer based on natural rubber (NR), EPDM (also called APTK), nitrile rubber (NBR), SBR or chloroprene (CR) / neoprene.
Our flexible foams are generally white or anthracite in colour, but can also be obtained in special colours (such as skin-coloured foam material for orthopaedic products).
