Filter foam is an open-pored polyether/polyester-based polyurethane foam that is used by our customers to filter liquids or air.
Polyether-based filter foam is hydrolysis-resistant and is therefore particularly suitable for water and it is well suited for outdoor use. This filter foam is usually blue in colour.
Polyester-based filter foam thus tends to be found more in technical applications that have to do with filtering air, sound insulation or wind absorption. This filter foam is usually black/anthracite in colour.
Since the pore size/number of pores is significant for filter foam, filter foam is classified according to PPI (pores per inch). Our filter foams cover the range from 10 to 80 PPI.
We can produce all products made of filter foam customised in accordance with your specifications, including in small series or in one-off production.
