Sponge rubber

Sponge rubber is a foamed, open-cell natural rubber (NR) that can typically be recognised by its orange colour.
Its good suction properties have led to sponge rubber often being used as a labelling and pressure roller.

Many customers also use sponge rubber for the manufacture of pipe-cleaning balls. HIRI will manufacture balls from 10 mm to approximately 1500 mm in diameter for you.

HIRI sponge rubber is available in three different porosities (fine-pored, medium-pored, coarse-pored), in volumetric weights from 160 kg/m³ to 600 kg/m³.

Special qualities and colours are possible on request.

We can manufacture all products made of sponge rubber customised in accordance with your specifications, including as small series or in one-off production.
